James Poindexter letter, 1801 Aug. 15.

This letter, dated August 15, 1801, was written by James Poindexter to David Yancey about land in Green County, Kentucky. Poindexter wanted Yancey to enter 259 3/4 acres of non-resident land in Green County for him with the auditor of public accounts' office. Poindexter identified the land as part of a larger survey of approximately 17,000 acres made for David Anderson, Michael Anderson, and William Barrett. This letter was written from the "Louisa Office" and sent to Yancey in Louisa.
